December 28, 2004 saw former champion Australian cricketer David Boon take on one of the greatest challenges of his life. Boonie left the MCG with his wife Pip on an epic 20-day journey, walking to Hobart. Joined by celebrity friends and former team-mates along the way, Boonie finished by entering his beloved Bellerieve Oval in front of a packed One Day International game between Australia and Pakistan. The walk raised approximately $540,000 for the Bone Marrow Donor Institute.
David continued the fantastic efforts of fellow cricket mates Ian Botham, Allan Border and Dean Jones by giving back something to the community who supported them so well during their cricket careers.
David is raising funds for the Bone Marrow Donor Institute and Camp Quality.
