His exceptional skills saw him make a lifetime achievement of 330 goals and partake in six premierships with the Melbourne Football Club (in 1955, 1956, 1957, 1959, 1960 and 1964). Throughout the duration of his playing career, Barassi played for Melbourne from 1953 to 1964. With an impressive 204 games played during this time, Barassi made a name for himself by scoring an incredible 295 goals. In his time with the Carlton Club – from 1965 to 1969 – Barassi participated in 50 games and scored 35 goals.
